Privacy Policy
This applies to SwetyEditor, a panel for Adobe Premiere Pro, and to swetytools.com. The operator is SwetyTools. Contact: support@swetytools.com. Last updated 3 November 2026.
The short version
SwetyEditor works on your computer. Your projects, media and transcripts are not uploaded to us. The panel contacts our servers only to check your licence, once a day for a small public file that says whether a newer version exists, and when you press Send on feedback. It contacts other companies only when you choose a feature that needs them (AI, GIPHY, Pexels, web or YouTube downloads).
What stays on your computer
Your settings (including your macros, presets and any saved API keys) are stored in a local settings file in your user profile. An API key is saved there only if you tick "remember key". The file is readable by anyone with access to your Windows account. Your projects, media, transcripts and marker files are never sent to us.
What we receive
| When | What is sent | Why | Kept |
|---|---|---|---|
| Licence check (when you enter a key, and now and then after that) | Your licence key, a random machine ID the panel makes, and the tool being checked | To confirm the key is valid, which tools it unlocks, and how many computers use it | While the licence is active, and until you ask us to delete it |
| Download page (only when you enter a key at swetytools.com/download) | Your licence key, and your IP address while it is checked | To confirm you bought SwetyEditor before giving you the download. The key is checked with Lemon Squeezy and not stored by us. A count of failed tries per IP address is kept to stop guessing | One hour (the failed-try count only) |
| Feedback (only when you press Send) | Your message, its type, the tool name, the panel version, your email only if you type it, and diagnostics only if you tick the box | To fix problems and reply to you | Until you ask us to delete it |
| Feedback spam limit | A one-way scramble (hash) of your IP address, not the address itself | To stop one person sending hundreds of messages | With the feedback |
| Purchases | Handled by Lemon Squeezy: your name, email, payment and tax details go to them. We receive your email, the order and the licence key | To sell and support the product | As Lemon Squeezy and tax law require |
| This website | Cloudflare hosts swetytools.com and may log standard request data (IP address, browser) for security. We use no advertising trackers or analytics | Hosting and security | As Cloudflare keeps it |
Features that send data to other companies, only when you use them
- AI: the text you ask it to process (for example transcript text) goes to the provider you pick, using your own API key. Their privacy terms apply. Do not send text you may not share.
- Visuals and search: your search words go to the service you search (GIPHY or Pexels), using your own key, and images are downloaded from there. Web or YouTube downloads contact the site you enter.
- Nothing else is sent in the background. Once a day (you can switch it off in Settings > Updates) the panel downloads a small public file from swetytools.com to see whether a newer version exists. That request carries no licence key, machine ID or project data; like any web request, our host (Cloudflare) sees your IP address.
Who we use
Cloudflare (hosting, the licence and feedback services, and their database), Lemon Squeezy (payments and licence keys), Discord (alerts to us about new feedback, so the text of your message may appear there), and our email provider for support mail.
Your rights
Email us to see, correct or delete data we hold about you, including feedback and licence records. If you are in the EU or UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA), you have specific rights of access, deletion and objection, and we will answer within 30 days. We do not sell personal data. SwetyEditor is not meant for people under 16.
Security
Licence answers are digitally signed and feedback is sent over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure; tell us if you find a problem.
Changes
We will post changes on this page and note them in the changelog.
